Chad Galer
Chad Galer serves as vice president, Product Research and Food Safety at Dairy Management Inc. with responsibilities supporting National Dairy Council research programs at major universities to drive dairy innovation and sales for dairy products and ingredients on behalf of U.S. dairy farmers. He also supports cheese promotion as an invited judge for the World and U.S. Championship Cheese Contests and American Cheese Society Cheese contest. Chad also fosters the workforce of the future by coordinating the Collegiate Dairy Product Evaluation Contest in addition to leading food safety trainings to build and maintain trust in the dairy industry.
Chad has spent his entire life in the dairy industry. He grew up on a small dairy farm in southwest Wisconsin and studied microbiology at University of Wisconsin – La Crosse before working several years for Kraft Foods.
